RVC Breaks Ground on New Campus

Rock Valley College (RVC) officially broke ground on its new Downtown West Campus on Thursday, March 27, celebrating with nearly 100 employees, stakeholders, and community partners in attendance. The campus, located at the intersection of Chestnut and Winnebago Streets in downtown Rockford, will house a variety of programs targeted at adult learners and is scheduled to open in August 2026.

Theresa “Paulette” Gilbert Receives Community Service Awards

Theresa “Paulette” Gilbert, a distinguished educator and community advocate, recently received two community service awards - the Greater Rockford Chamber’s Women in Business Community Hero Award and the Rockford NAACP’s Community Service Award along with her husband Eldridge “Skip” Gilbert.


RVC Skilled Trades Fair - November 14

Rock Valley College, in collaboration with the Workforce Equity Initiative (WEI), is pleased to announce the upcoming Skilled Trades Career Fair. The event will take place on Thursday, November 14, from 2 - 6 pm on RVC Main Campus in the Stenstrom Student Center Atrium. All students, employees, and community are invited to attend.


RVC Communications & Marketing Take Center Stage in Cleveland

Living up to the motto, Rock Valley College Home of Champions, the RVC Communications and Marketing team organized, presented, and won big at the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) District 3 Conference in Cleveland, Ohio, September 25-27, 2024.


Thompson Named Communicator of the Year

Rock Valley College is pleased to announce that Jennifer Thompson, Executive Director of College Communications, has been named the 2024 Communicator of the Year for the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations District 3.
