Weather Alert for February 5-6
Out of an abundance of caution, all Rock Valley College locations will close at 4 p.m. today, Wednesday, February 5, due to dangerous weather conditions forecasted for our area beginning this evening.
All classes that begin at 4 p.m. or later will transition to online learning and meet at the regularly scheduled time (if possible). There will be no evening in-person classes, events, or activities.
Community and Continuing Education and Traffic Safety Courses are canceled.
Employees should take their laptops home in preparation for unexpected weather conditions.
On Thursday, February 6, all Rock Valley College locations will open at 10 am.
All classes that begin before 10 a.m. will transition to online learning and meet at the regularly scheduled time (if possible). In-person classes, events, and activities scheduled for 10 a.m. or later will resume as scheduled.
Employees should plan to work remotely at their regularly scheduled work time until they need to travel to their designated RVC location. Please be aware of the road conditions in your area and allow plenty of travel time to be safe.
Students should check EAGLE for information from their instructors regarding transitioning to online learning.
As you know, Midwest weather can be unpredictable. As more information becomes available or the storm system changes, please monitor your college email for updates on the situation.
