Rock Valley College appreciates the valuable role area high school guidance counselors play in helping students transition to RVC. We also understand how critical it is for you to have the information at your fingertips to help facilitate those transitions. It is our hope to provide you all the most current information you need regarding college planning and getting started at RVC.

Getting Started Days
Bring your seniors to RVC to learn more about our programs, determine placement, receive 1:1 advising, get a campus tour, and eat lunch!
Freshman Visits
Explore campus, highlight the importance of doing well in high school, learn about the differences between Community College and four-year schools, and get ideas of questions to ask when conducting a college search.
Placement Testing
Bring your high school seniors to complete their ACCUPLACER placement exam so that they are prepared for their first semester at RVC.
Invite Us – RVC will come to you!
Classroom Visits
Do your students want to learn more about their options after high school? Our coordinators are available for daytime and evening events!
On-Site Registration
We also provide one-on-one advising to students and help them register for college classes. The RVC Tech Bus can come to your school to help students get connected.
Financial Aid Nights
Our Financial Aid team is happy to meet at after-hours events with students and parents/guardians (even if you're not planning to attend RVC) to discuss FAFSA, scholarships, and paying for college.
Application Days
Pick a day and our coordinators will meet with students at your school to help them complete their free applications to Rock Valley College.
On-Site ACCUPLACER Testing
If your students are establishing or improving their college placement with an ACCUPLACER test, we can come to your school to proctor the exam and provide students with instant results.
Underclassmen Presentations
Our coordinators can also come to your school to share information about Rock Valley College programs and explain what students can do while still in high school to help prepare them for college.
